A note from Jeremy:

"I made the decision to run for the Iowa House because I am tired. My job, my passion, and my students continue to be attacked by politicians in the state house, and it is exhausting. Rep. Sharon Steckman has been a fierce advocate for quality and accessible public education, and I am dedicated to continuing her advocacy and carrying on her legacy, fighting for all of Iowa's kids.”

1

Strong Public Education

As an experienced educator and result of Mason City's Public Schools, I am an advocate for investing in strong and  accessible public education. Iowa used to be the gold standard for public education in the country, now we are 24th. It is time we invest in Iowa’s public schools and provide a quality education to every kid who shows up, regardless of their gender, race, income, or zip code.

Lower Costs &
Higher Wages

Too many Iowans are still struggling to make ends meet today. Their wages simply aren’t keeping up with the rising costs of healthcare, food, child care, and utility bills. Our state can and should be doing more to keep money in Iowans pockets, including a fair tax plan, higher minimum wage, affordable childcare and more. We need to do more to help Iowans.

Mental
Healthcare Access

Every Iowan deserves access to quality mental health care. We must continue to train and hire more mental health providers and expand telehealth services for those struggling with mental health. Healthcare access, particularly in our smaller communities, has become dismal due to the lack of investment at the state level. It's time to change that for the future of our state.
